REC (Recreational)   Enterprises

The Company   Recreational Enterprises, an Alabama based company was began in 1989 by Jim Baughan after a lengthy career in the engineering/architectural, education, recreation, and management communities. One of the first designers to bring the country club minigolf FEC concept inland, he served as design engineer, was promoted to engineering manager and later to land acquisition manager in the recreation industry from 1987 to 1989. He has also held state license as a general contractor in good standing with a specialty in construction management. In 1996 the company name was shortened to REC Enterprises. The company operates out of a single location in Lillian, Alabama only.   The company's focus is centered on the creation of profitable family entertainment centers, based on quality design, construction, market share resilience, and high personal service to clients. Although small in size, the company's research and development efforts have enabled it to perform in-house design and construction projects in leadership with companies many times larger.
